The Committee
President - Dianne Ford
President's Duties:
- To chair or facilitate monthly meetings for the executive.
- Oversee and arrangerepresentation on committees, working parties or special interest groups we are invited to participate on. Ensure appropriate person in terms of expertise, knowledge or interest represents the society to gain the best possible outcomes for NUMs.
- Facilitate or chair working parties to progress and develop the society's business plans as well as current and future goals.
- Support the Executive Conference Organising Committee.
- Represent the Society at functions or meetings to promote the society and NUM's point of view.
- Work with the executive when requested to give a position statement on issues from the DOH or other health organizations be it clinical, professional or industrial.
- Respond to individual members' issues and provide advice.
- Correspond with the Minister of Health, the NSW Nurses' Association and other professional bodies on behalf of the members.
- Support the Society's Country Vice President, raise the issues faced by rural and remote NUM's at various forums.
- Support our Web Coordinator and Treasurer and together we oversee the secretarial work undertaken by the CoN for us.
- Support the supper Sessions and their executive organiser to ensure members have updates on current issues facing health as well as providing an opportunity for networking with other members.
Vice President (City) - Sam Faithfull
Vice President's Duties:
The Vice Presidents assist with the:-- execution of the presidential duties and
- act in the absence of the president with all powers vested in the president by the rules of the Constitution.
One Vice-President is elected from the city and one from the country. They will alternate relieving the president, where practicable.
Vice President (Country) - Gail Kane
Vice President's Duties:
The Vice Presidents assist with the:-- execution of the presidential duties and

Secretary - Ellen Villanueva
Secretary's Duties:
Responsibilities as the secretary of the NUM Society of NSW, is to:
- Arrange meetings
- Take and keep the minutes of all meetings and annual conference attended
- Keep correspondence both inward and outward
- Notify executive members of time, date and place of meetings
- Finding and inviting speakers
- Confirm date, time and venue
- Organise catering
Treasurer - Samina Ali
Treasurer's Duties:
The treasurer is responsible for:- Keeping of accounts and other financial records
- Issuing of receipts and the prompt banking of monies received
- Maintenance of a register of members with details of the name, membership number, place of employment, home address, email address and date of joining the Society
- The preparation and certification of progress reports and financial statements as directed by the Committee
- The countersigning of cheques
- Having the books in readiness and making all arrangements for audits as required or direct
